Born in a traditional family to illustrious late Janapada Kalabrahma - Dr. C. Gopal Raj Bhatt, who dedicated over six decades of his life to preserve and promote tribal and folk culture, Mr. C. Natraj Bhatt started his journey with Doordarshan, Madras with a vision to establish the best makeup studio in India.

 

He got trained in carnatic music under the guidance of the renowned vocal artist Sri Nukala Chinna Satyanarayana and also learnt Bharatanatayam from Dr. Uma Rama Rao (BA, Dance).

Mr. C. Natraj Bhatt learnt the art of color television makeup from Ms. Susie Donaldson, lighting from Mr. Helen of BBC fame and has been trained from the national institute FTII, Pune.

 

He is a well known chief makeup artist in Telugu and Tamil film Industry and has worked with silver screen phenomenons like Sri Kamal Haasan, Sri Rajinikanth, Late Smt. M.S. Subbalaksmi, Sri Dhulipala, Sri Chandra Mohan, Smt. Savithri, Sri Baba Sehgal, Sri Lucky Ali, Sri S. Balachander, Sri Gummadi Sri Ananthu, Sri Pucha Ramakrishna, Kumari Chitralekha, Sri Kaikala Satyanarayana, Late Sri Rajesh Khanna, Sri Shashi Kapoor and Smt Silk Smitha. He has also worked with TV Personalities like Smt Suma, Smt Udaya Bhanu, Smt Neeraja, Smt Shilpa, Sri Somayajulu, Sri Ramesh, Sri Ashok Rao, Sri Nagendra Prasad, Sri Pradeep, Sri Subbaraya Sharma and many more.

 

Being a multitalented and versatile personality, Mr. C. Natraj Bhatt is skilled in painting, vocals, percussion instruments, dance, photography and makeup. He has received tremendous appreciation for his work as a writer for the serial titled ‘Muvva’ which received 6 Nandi awards. Additionally, he has worked as a director and story writer for an episode named ‘Samatha’ which received 2 Nandi awards, one for Suma as “Uttama Nati” category and other for Bengaluru Padma as “Uttama Sahaya Nati” category.

 

Apart from his involvement in film and television industry he has also had a firm footing in the advertising industry where he has executed contracts for jewelry, household articles, newspaper and dress materials. He has worked with several fashion artists in the aspect of photography and has been a mentor for more than 50 trainees who have established their career in the film and TV industry as prominent artists.
